The history of the faculty dates back to 2007 when it was founded in the framework of the programme “Health”.

COURSES OF THE HEALTHY WAY OF LIFE ORGANIZATION FACULTY

Today the Healthy Way of Life Organization faculty offers the following courses:

First level programmes (4 years, 8 semesters):

- PHYSICAL CULTURE (specializations “Physical culture (therapeutic)”, “Physical culture (for pre-schoolers)”;

- THERAPEUTIC AND ADAPTIVE PHYSICAL CULTURE (specializations “Therapeutic and adaptive physical culture (therapeutic)”, “Therapeutic and adaptive physical culture (adaptive)”;

- PHYSICAL REHABILITATION AND ERGO-THERAPY (specializations ”Physical rehabilitation and ergo-therapy (physical rehabilitation)“, ”Physical rehabilitation and ergo-therapy (ergo-therapy)“.

Third level (Postgraduate programme) (3 years):

- Candidate of Science degree in THEORY AND METHODS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTS TRAINING, THERAPEUTIC AND ADAPTIVE PHYSICAL CULTURE

Part-time training (on the basis of secondary education) is available. Length of studies – 5 years.

DEPARTMENTS:

- Department of general and clinical medicine, headed by Lyudmila Shebeko, PhD;
- Department of physical culture and sports, headed by Anatoliy Yakovlev, PhD.

CENTERS & LABORATORIES:

- Laboratory of longitudinal investigations;
- Center of physical culture and sports (with several sports clubs included);
- Educational and scientific unit “Health”;
- Educational and medical center (with a sanatorium for students).

In the academic year of 2011-2012 the faculty trains 540 students, 376 of them study at the expense of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
